This bowl was turned of wet cherry to a thickness of less than 1/16th of an inch then air dried. The holes were then drilled around the perimeter an laced with leather lacing in the traditional double loop stitch used in leather working.  Due to the natural edge of this bowl it looks oval when viewed from above.
